Westminster is home to some of the most diverse and dynamic communities in London, and we’re committed to ensuring our homes and neighbourhoods reflect the ambition, care and pride our residents deserve. With more than 22,000 homes across the city, our investment programme plays a central role in helping us deliver safe, modern and sustainable places to live.
We’re now looking for a Housing Investment Programme Lead to guide this major area of work. It’s a role that sits at the heart of how we plan, prioritise and deliver improvements across our housing portfolio. You’ll provide strategic leadership across a wide range of capital projects, making sure delivery is coordinated, transparent and focused on the outcomes that matter most for residents. You’ll bring people together across services and disciplines, breaking down silos and helping teams work with greater clarity, pace and shared purpose.
Working closely with the Head of Asset Strategy and senior colleagues across the Directorate, you’ll support the development of business cases, guide budget setting, oversee programme governance and lead gateway reviews. You’ll help set high standards and encourage a culture where accountability, collaboration and curiosity sit at the centre of how we work. With a strong focus on performance, you’ll monitor progress across programmes, manage risks and issues, and provide clear, timely reporting to senior leaders, Members and external partners.
This is a role for someone who can balance strategic thinking with practical delivery, and who’s confident working across complex programmes with multiple stakeholders. You’ll need to bring strong programme leadership experience from a large or complex organisation, ideally within housing, regeneration or construction. Just as importantly, you’ll bring the kind of open, engaging leadership style that helps teams thrive, builds trust and supports colleagues to do their best work.
If you’re motivated by the chance to shape an investment programme that delivers visible, positive change for thousands of residents, and you want to play a key part in improving how Westminster delivers its housing ambitions, we’d be delighted to hear from you.
